Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 4, 2026
This policy describes what information Ludicrous Bot collects through the Discord application, the ludicrousbot.com website, and the dashboard, how that information is used, and the choices you have. We collect only what is needed to operate the Service, and we never sell your data.
1. Information We Collect
From Discord. When the bot operates in a server or you sign in to the dashboard with Discord, we receive:
- your Discord user ID, username, and avatar;
- the email address associated with your Discord account (dashboard sign-in only);
- server (guild) IDs, names, icons, and the roles and channels needed to run configured features.
Operational data. To provide its features, the bot stores records generated by normal use, such as:
- moderation records: cases, warnings, notes, jail/timeout status, and modmail conversations;
- activity data: leveling and XP, command usage counts, last-seen timestamps, and username/nickname history;
- server growth data: invite tracking and join records;
- feature content: starboard posts, suggestions, confessions, tickets, giveaways, and similar records created by server members.
Information you provide. Some features store data you choose to submit, such as birthdays, timezones, reminders, AFK messages, tags, custom commands and embeds, and economy balances. If you connect an optional third-party integration (for example Spotify), we store the access tokens required to provide that feature until you disconnect it.
Message content. The bot processes messages in real time to power features like auto-moderation, triggers, and sticky messages. Message content is stored only where a feature requires it (for example starboard entries, modmail transcripts, or moderation evidence) and is not otherwise retained.
Payments. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers; we retain only subscription status and transaction references needed to manage your purchase.
Cookies. The dashboard uses session cookies solely to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
2. How We Use Information
- to operate the bot's commands and modules in your server;
- to authenticate you and display your servers in the dashboard;
- to manage purchases, subscriptions, and server whitelisting;
- to provide support and respond to requests;
- to prevent abuse and keep the Service secure.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
3. When Information Is Shared
We share information only with the services required to run Ludicrous Bot:
- Discord: the bot communicates through Discord's API to function;
- our payment processor: to handle checkout, subscriptions, and billing;
- hosting and infrastructure providers: which store data on our behalf.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of the Service and its users.
4. Data Retention
We keep data only as long as it is needed for the feature it supports. Server configuration and feature data persist while the bot is in a server so settings are not lost during outages or accidental removals. Moderation records are retained so server staff can maintain continuity. Data associated with a server or user can be removed on request, as described below.
5. Your Choices and Rights
- You can remove the bot from your server at any time, which stops all further collection for that server.
- You can disconnect optional integrations (such as Spotify) at any time, which removes the stored tokens.
- Server administrators may request deletion of their server's stored data.
- You may request a copy or deletion of the data associated with your Discord account.
To make any of these requests, contact us through the support server. We may need to verify that you own the Discord account or server in question.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect stored data, including access controls and keeping credentials out of version control. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if we become aware of an incident.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your country), in line with Discord's own requirements. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. When we do, we will update the effective date above and post the revised policy on this page. Significant changes will be announced in the support server.
9. Contact
For privacy questions or data requests, reach us through the support server.
